FIRST TIME TO THE SHINE SUPPLY HEADQUARTERS!
Apr 19, 2015

I'm a little late posting this, but I guess, "Better Late than Never."

In December 2014, I received a call from Shine Supply creator, Jeremy Stevens, asking if I was up for traveling to California. The catch was, I would be leaving the next week!! Without hesitation, I booked a flight, packed my bags and set out to the West Coast. Jeremy had three days of work, play and training prepared.

Day One, December 8, I met with fellow detailers Josh Wiley and Austin Hedges (Wet Detail-Memphis), Michael Gottlieb (Thumpers - San Antonio), Nick Colbern (Colberns Detail - Santa Barbara) and Kyler Martin (Kylers Detail - Seattle) to begin an epic journey. We traveled two hours outside Los Angeles to a Semi Truck facility, to perform Gloss Enhancement and Waxes on seven Sleeper Cab Trucks. It took us 8 hours to complete something we imagined would take two full days.. and we were worn out by the end of it! We finished up the night chowing down on some of the best sushi to touch my taste buds!

Day Two, December 9, was spent at the Shine Supply Headquarters. We were greeted by founder Jeremy Stevens, Employee Jared Raschke and fellow Detailer, Wes Walz (Elite Finish Detailing - San Diego). We used this day to familiarize ourselves with the complete Shine Supply line of products, test out new ones and do some training. We used our rental car as a training surface and spent 4 hours learning tips and practicing Advanced Paint Correction. Basically, we had nine of the craziest detailers in the country, in one room, making a rental cars value sky rocket. It was AWESOME!

Day Three was the saddest of them all. It was time to head home. We made one last trip to the SS Headquarters, to stock up on supplies and say our goodbyes. It was then off to the airport, but not before grabbing a quick lunch at In N Out Burger.. I think we ate there daily.

In conclusion, I had an excellent time and motivating experience. I learned so much from everyone on this trip and cant wait to make my next. I truly believe you can only teach yourself so much... traveling, experiencing and learning is key to growing your skills and that's exactly what I did.
